HORSES AFTER SCHOOL

• Join an exciting after school program offered at Bridle Hill Farm in Jeffersonville. The program is held for two (2) hours after school, and will run for a Four (4) week session series.
• Enjoy time with others while having fun riding with friends and getting to know horses. The program includes understanding types of breeds, color and markings of horses. Each student will get many opportunities to learn grooming basics, parts of the horse, and leading a horse through a series of obstacles.
• Then, learning to care for a horse with emphasis on the importance of understanding feed, nutrition, washing, clipping, blanketing, hoof health, and care of non serious medical issues.
• Have fun riding each week with a lesson, lunge line work, and exercises to keep the horse and rider in good physical condition.
• Learning will also include the importance of a well designed horse stable and pastures. Providing knowledge about type of horse tack, preparing for a horse show, and understanding show attire.
